Spanish models to the power!

Lately they've been a lot of good news for the spanish models... Let me tell you about it:

1. Marina Pérez will appear on the Marc by Marc Jacobs S/S 2010 ad campaign! Yes, Juergen Teller will shoot her along with Hannah Holman and Irina Kulikova. Congrats Marina!



2. Marina Jamieson and Clara Alonso are on the cover of Vanidad December 2009.





3. Marina Jamieson has created a digital fashion & entertainment magazine that will air on February 2010, in Cibeles Madrid Fashion Week. It's called Moose. Also, check her blog at Modelfeed, because she always posts fun pics of her.

We need good news about Sheila Márquez too! :)

The first fashion editorials I ever saved on my computer

These are the first images I ever saved on my "fashion" folder. A Paolo Roversi + Gemma Ward editorial, a Gwyneth Paltrow pic, Natalie Portman... Now that folder has so many images that I had to create sub-folders like "editorials", "celebrities", "backstage"....

Éstas son las primeras imágenes que guardé en la carpeta "Moda" de mi ordenador. Una editorial de Paolo Roversi + Gemma Ward, una foto de Gwyneth Paltrow, Natalie Portman... Ahora esa carpeta tiene miles dé imágenes guardadas en sub-carpetas, como "editorials", "celebrities", "backstage"....

Season clothes

I have always thought that taking the summer clothes out of the closet when the cold weather arrives is a mistake. I normally put aside those clothes that I know I won't wear, like dresses for the beach, but I keep the rest in the closet. You never know what combinations may result from all the clothes from different seasons you have! And if it is cold, you can just put on a coat :)

What do you think? Do you set aside the summer clothes when winter arrives or not?

A mí lo de guardar la ropa de verano cuando llega el invierno siempre me ha parecido una equivocación. Normalmente sólo guardo aquellas cosas que sé que no me voy a poner, como vestidos de playa, pero el resto lo dejo en el armario junto a lo demás. Nunca se sabe qué conjuntos se te pueden ocurrir combinando prendas de distintas temporadas. Y si hace frío, pues un abrigo encima y listo! :)

Jamie Cullum's concert in Madrid

Yes, I know, these are not Loewe handbags, which I said yesterday that I would post today... But last night I went to Jamie Cullum's concert in Madrid and I couldn't wait to post about it. It was amazing. He's amazing, really. The concert was held by The Chivas Studio in a very cool place. It was very crowded but we managed to get front row, we were standing up, but we didn't care.

Jamie Cullum has recorded fantastic songs like "Everlasting Love", "Twentysomething", "Next year, baby", and the beautiful song "Gran Torino", for Clint Eastwood's film. Oh, and he's going to marry Sophie Dahl (the model) soon.

I've been a huge Jamie Cullum's fan for ages, and when I knew that he was in Madrid presenting his new album "The Pursuit" I knew that I had to go to his concert.

He sang "Mixtape", and said that burning cds for the loved ones or sending a Spotify playlist (he said that literally) is not the same as recording a mixtape. He also sang "If I ruled the world", "All over it", "Get your way", "Gran Torino"... Even though the concert was kind of short, it was truly worth it.

He seems a very nice and funny person, with a lot of energy. He even climbed up the piano. I took that photo with a non digital camera, I have to take the roll to develop, I can't wait to see the result. I love that, when you don't know how the photograph looks until you see it on paper.

Sí, lo sé, ésto no son los bolsos de Loewe, como dije que postearía hoy... Pero ayer fui al concierto de Jamie Cullum en Madrid y no podía esperar a poner las fotos. Estuvo genial. Él es genial. El concierto estaba organizado por The Chivas Studio en una sitio bastante guay. Estaba lleno de gente, pero conseguimos llegar hasta la primera fila y se veía genial desde ahí.

Jamie Cullum tiene canciones muy buenas como "Everlasting Love", "Twentysomething", "Next year, baby", y "Gran Torino", una canción preciosa para la película de Clint Eastwood. Ah, y se va a casar dentro de poco con la modelo Sophie Dahl.

Soy fan de Jamie Cullum desde hace años, y cuando me enteré que venía a Madrid para presentar su nuevo disco "The Pursuit" supe enseguida que tenía que ir al concierto.

Cantó "Mixtape", decía que grabar cds no es lo mismo que aquellas cintas que se solían grabar con canciones románticas, o la moda de ahora de enviar playlists de Spotify (dijo eso literalmente). También tocó "If I ruled the world", "All over it", "Get your way", "Gran Torino"... Aunque se me hizo un poco corto, realmente estuvo genial.

Parece una persona divertida, con muchísima energía y muy apasionado. Incluso se subió encima del piano. Hice una foto con una cámara no digital, tengo que llevar el carrete a revelar, qué ganas de ver cómo ha quedado. Me encanta eso de no saber cómo es la foto hasta el final.

Loewe Spring/Summer 2010 Presentation: The Clothes

Yesterday I attended Loewe's Spring Summer 2010 presentation in Madrid. I have always liked Loewe in a special way, as it used to be a spanish brand. It is one of the best labels for leather, they can make anything with leather.

The Spring Summer 2010 collection was so beautiful, I really liked it. The use of pink and orange gave a very summer-ish touch, along with the caps and the see-through tops. Perfect!

Ayer fui a la presentación de la colección Primavera/Verano 2010 de Loewe en Madrid. Siempre he tenido un cariño especial a Loewe, ya que era una marca española. Son maestros del trabajo de la piel, pueden hacer prácticamente todo con ella.

La colección es preciosa, me encantó. El fuchsia y el naranja daban un toque muy veraniego, con las viseras y los tops translúcidos. Perfect!



I love this outfit! The pink bra is so cute. And now showing the bra is "in", do you remember? /// Me encanta este conjunto. El sujetador fuchsia es precioso, y ahora está de moda enseñarlo, ¿recordáis?


That was one of my favourite looks from the collection. The scarf is so bright and pretty. The dress is made of leather, and the drawings on the sides were made with laser. /// Éste es uno de mis looks favoritos de la colección, el pañuelo es muy alegre y bonito. El vestido es de ante, los dibujos de los laterales los hicieron con láser.
