I must confess that this post has two purposes: a) Show you the fantastic costume direction of "(500) days of Summer", and b) It's an excuse to post pictures of Joseph Gordon-Levitt. I love that actor.
As you see, the costume design is simply beautiful, by Hope Hanafin. Everything is harmonious, in blue tones (only Summer wears blue clothes), and perfectly combining with the art direction of every scene. It's a very sixties, naïf, girly and cheerful style. It fits with Zooey's character, and Zooey's personality too.
Tom (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) knows how to dress as well. He wears sleeveless sweaters, shirts, ties... He uses beige and brown palettes. And we wears rock themed t-shirts when he's not at the office.
Also, the movie is really good too. One of my favourite comedies (it's a comedy if you look at it from the bright side) I've seen in a lot of time. It's sad and funny at the same time. The dialogues are brilliant and the soundtrack is impeccable: Regina Spektor, Wolfmother, Daryl Hall & Oates, The Smiths (check the Spotify soundtrack playlist here).

Debo confesar que este post tiene un propósito doble: a) Mostraros la estupenda dirección de vestuario de "(500) days of Summer", y b) Es una excusa para publicar fotos de Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Me encanta ese actor.
Como veréis, el diseño de vestuario es sencillamente precioso, por Hope Hanafin (lo sé gracias a este post de Raquel). Todo es armónico, en la tonalidad de los azules (sólo Summer lleva prendas azules), y en perfecta consonancia con el ambiente de cada escena. Un estilo muy naïf, sixties, alegre, femenino. Muy acorde con la personalidad del papel de Zooey Deschanel, y de la propia Zooey.
El estilo de Tom (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) también es impecable. Jerseys sin manga, corbata, chalecos... En tonos beige, marrones... Y camisetas de grupos de música cuando no está en la oficina.
Y la película es muy buena. Una de mis comedias favoritas (es una comedia si la ves desde el lado positivo) en mucho tiempo. Es triste y alegre a la vez. Los diálogos son geniales, y la banda sonora es de culto: Regina Spektor, Wolfmother, Daryl Hall & Oates, The Smiths (banda sonora en Spotify aquí).
