This morning I went to the presentation of the new shoe by Manolo Blahnik inspired by Spain. The shoe is called "Madrid", and it's the one you can see in the photo above (on Blahnik's pocket, heheh). The event has taken place at his boutique in Madrid (Serrano, 58), where he answered the press' questions and posed happily in front of the photographers. You can't imagine how nice and funny he is! He kept telling us anecdotes and saying how happy he was to be there.
He said he's "just a shoe seller", but we know that he's way more than that. He's the one that created the amazing shoes featured in Sofia Coppola's Marie Antoinette, and the designer of stilettos that resemble works of art.

Esta mañana he asistido a la presentación de un nuevo zapato de Manolo Blahnik inspirado en España. El stiletto se llama "Madrid", y es el que podéis ver en la foto de arriba (en el bolsillo de la chaqueta de Blahnik). El evento ha tenido lugar en su boutique de Madrid (Serrano, 58), donde ha respondido a las preguntas de la prensa y ha posado amablemente para los fotógrafos. ¡No os podéis imaginar lo simpático que es! No paraba de contar anécdotas.
Ha comentado que "tan sólo soy un vendedor de zapatillas", pero sabemos que es mucho más que eso. Él fue el creador de los maravillosos tacones que calzaba Kirsten Dunst en la película Marie Antoinette de Sofia Coppola, y ha diseñado modelos que podrían ser obras de arte. Todo un lujo haberle conocido hoy.
