Cute, a selection of sweet images

Teddy bears are hugging me!

This is a very cute idea by Sebastián Errázuriz. I wouldn't wear it though, but it is so sweet! Seen here.

Vogue UK December 2009

This cover is one of the most dreamy covers I've seen in a long time. Lara looks like a Disney princess.

Chanel Iman is a fairy.

Chanel Iman looks like she escaped from a fairytale. The dress is so lovely.

Chanel is timeless.

Elena Anaya wearing Chanel proves that it's timeless. I need that jacket now. The neckline is brilliant.

By the way, today I was at the Chanel SS 2010 presentation and I took thousands of photos... the Marie Antoinette at Le Petit Trianon is the best Chanel collection in ages! Don't you think? I'll post the pictures tomorrow.

Just an image I liked from the Urban Outfittes newsletter.

I really enjoy the beauty editorials from Vogue Paris, they are always original, but easy to recognize.

Big headphones

A curious trend, don't you think? I like the bright colours.

The perfect bathsuit.

Rochas SS10. I don't know if it is a bathsuit, but it looks good.

Priestess NYC + A moodboard

Priestess NYC

One of the things that I like the most about fashion is how much it can change with the years. I don't remember who said it, but I read a quote that said something like: "Fashion can't be considered as art at all. What kind of art has to be renovated every season and throw the old pieces away?" In some part it is right. Fashion has to be renovated, but it is not necessary to reject the old season clothes. Clothes from previous seasons can be re-worn in different ways and still be "in", don't you think?

Another thing that I also love about fashion is how varied it is. You can find all kinds of things. Do you want a pair of sunglasses with blinds that don't let you see anything? They do exist. Do you want a pair of stilettos with dead birds? You can have them. And what about a hat with a Lego piece? Yeah, someone sells them too. Quoting the fabulous Sofia Coppola: "You are considered superficial and and silly if you're interested in fashion, but I think that you can be serious and still be interested in frivolity". Fashion doesn't have to be a serious things. Just look at this print by Priestess NYC. It is kind of cute, even though I'm quite demanding when choosing a print for a cloth. There are few printed clothes that I really like, when they are not very expensive they are horrible, you can look like a tablecloth, a curtain or Julie Andrews in "The Sound of Music". In fact, if I look at my wardrobe, there is not almost a single piece of clothing with prints on it. Everything is made of plain colors.

The Mickey Mouse print is cute, but I prefer the non-printed pieces. The pink dress (top) has just the right tone of pink, and the short pink raincoat is lovely. I remember that I went to Zara last year and I saw a coat made of some kind of shiny black plastic, the coolest fabric I'd ever seen. I didn't buy it because I thought it was too flashy. I still regret not buying it. Note: If you like something, buy it (if it's not too expensive).

In Cody Ross's own words (designer), "Priestess is a cool/quirky/fun womenswear label emphasizing amazing construction + silhouettes and absurd+directional prints/cuts" and the main inspirations are abstract art, mathematics and ‘vintage-punk.’

Sounds too good, but it is true.

I NEED this dress. I love the open back.

Aún me arrepiento.

Long live fake fur

I love how fur coats look. But I don't like that they are made from animals.

Inspired - Margot Tenenbaum and Sofia Coppola

Today I went to the hairdresser and had my hair cut like Margot from The Tenenbaums
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
I love this film. I remember seeing it for the first time with a friend and totally hating it. She really liked it, and I thought she was crazy. I used to tell everyone that was the worst film in the world. That suicide scene with Luke Wilson had gotten stuck in my mind and I couldn't forget it.
But then I watched Life Aquatic, and I adored it. So I thought to myself: "If it is the same director, and the actors are great (Gwyneth Paltrow, Owen Wilson, Bill Murray...)... it has to be a good film" So I rented it and watched it again. And I loved it. I understood the characters, and the aesthetic of the scenes. It was brilliant.

My favourite character was Margot, who writes plays at the age of twelve, smokes since then and wears a fur coat. Who doesn't want to be like her?
I have already talken about her (a little) here.

I highly recommed you to read this fabulous series: "relooking des héroïnes de notre enfance" by The Cherry Blossom Girl, a look on the most inspiring characters in film and literature.
---------------------------

Y entonces vi Life Aquatic, y me pareció genial. Y me encantó.
