Round glasses, current obsession

Round glasses are one of the most difficult accesories to wear. They don't look good on every shape, they can make you look like a hippie or a clown. If you are one of the few lucky people that can pull off these fabulous glasses, go ahead! :)

This kind of shape adds a lot of personality to an outfit. They are risky, and original. Here you have some examples. What do you think? Yay or nay? I love them, but I'm not brave enough to buy a pair yet...

I'll be watching the new Harry Potter film (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I) tomorrow. I don't know if it's going to be a good movie, but it's become a tradition. I HAVE to watch it, and that's all.

The Harry Potter books are one of my favourites, and I think I've already talked about that (there's a post about "The Erised Mirror", and my guesses for the Deathly Hallows book -all wrong, by the way-).

Today I'm showing you some glasses categorized as "the wizard glasses". Now you just need a scar on the forehead, two brave and loyal friends, a wand, a death enemy, and of course, magic powers.

Have Fun & Basics

Yesterday was the official Open Day (when labels show you their latest creations) in Madrid. I think they broke the record, someone said 27 brands were "celebrating" their Open Day. I saw people walking in the streets and I would recognize them as fashion journalists because all of us were carrying the same bags and stopped at the same shops and showrooms. I even saw two journalists carrying a shopping trolley to keep all the press kits. I thought it was very unglamourous, but at the end of the day, I realized it wasn't a bad idea at all.

Raquel, Patricia and I visited many showrooms and offices, I took hundreds of pictures, so today I'll start showing you the Fun & Basics S/S 2011 collection. I wanted to buy everything. The bad thing about Open Days is that you know you won't be able to buy anything in six months!

Ayer fue el día oficial de los Open Days (cuando las marcas enseñan sus nuevas colecciones) en Madrid. Yo creo que se batió el record, oí que había 27 el mismo día. Veía a la gente ir por la calle y les reconocía como periodistas de moda porque todos llevábamos las mismas bolsas y parábamos en los mismos sitios. Incluso pude ver a dos periodistas que guardaban todas las notas de prensa y las bolsas en un carrito de la compra. Pensé que era poco glamuroso, pero al final del día me di cuenta de que no era tan mala idea.

Raquel, Patricia y yo visitamos varias tiendas y marcas, hice mil fotos, así que empiezo hoy por enseñaros lo que más me gusto de Fun & Basics. Bolsos muy elegantes (precios de 50€ a 90€ aprox), accesorios originales... La colección de Primavera/Verano 2011 dan ganas de comprarla entera. ¡Lo malo de los Open Days es que sabes que no podrás comprar nada hasta dentro de más de seis meses!

Flowers in your head: Suma & Damsel

Now that days are shorter and everything is grey, I show you the wonderful creations of Suma & Damsel. This spanish brand has conquered most of the spanish celebrities and they've appeared on almost every fashion magazine. Accesories for the head: headbands, crowns (I love them!)... Natural-looking flowers and beautiful stones. You'll look like a fairy or a princess. I'm sure Alix from The Cherry Blossom Girl would love them.

Because flowers are not for spring only. You have to listen to Miranda Priestly in "Devil wears Prada": "Flowers? In spring? How original..." So here you have my favourite pieces.

Ahora que los días son más cortos y todo es gris, os presento las maravillosas creaciones de Suma & Damsel. Esta firma española ya ha conquistado a la mayoría de las celebrities patrias y sus diseños ocupan las páginas de las revistas de moda. Accesorios para la cabeza: diademas, tocados, y coronas (¡me encantan!). Flores muy naturales y piedras de buen gusto. Parecen salidos de una película de princesas o hadas. Estoy segura de que a Alix de The Cherry Blossom Girl le encantarían.
