Juanjo Oliva S/S 2011

juanjo oliva

Between the "Groundhog Day" feeling that Madrid Fashion Week has exuded this season, there's one exception to remark: Juanjo Oliva's collection. In fact, he described Madrid Fashion Week as a boring "Groundhog Day" when we talked during the presentation of the Pro Fashion 3 Women 3 Projects. This initiative taken by Las Rozas Village will award the best three business projects (shops, ateliers, brands, etc) conceived by women from Madrid, related to fashion. An exemplary way of celebrating their 10th Anniversary. We don't need more parties, we have one almost everyday! Juanjo Oliva chairs the jury, with Carolina Herrera, Carla Royo-Villanova, amongst others. We already know the 10 finalists.

Going back to Juanjo Oliva. Between the monotonous and repetitive shows, there are a few designers you can always trust. Juanjo Oliva is one of them. I underlined his show on the schedule. As I knew, he didn't disappointed me. Bright colours, play with different materials, elegance, good taste... This is fashion!

My favourite looks: the plastic jackets and skirts and the long and super elegant dresses. Don't miss the chicken print of the maxi scarf.

-------------------

Volviendo a Juanjo Oliva.

Last day of Cibeles Madrid Fashion Week

The last day of a fashion week is always the best. Everyone's calmed, there are not so many people, and everyone seems happier.

I took all these photos yesterday, hope you like them! :)

That Mulberry handbag is awesome!
