Dolce&Gabbana S/S 2011 Campaign: First backstage pictures directly from Stefano Gabbana's mobile phone!

I just received these pictures on my email. They have been taken by Stefano Gabbana at the shooting of the S/S 2011 campaign of Dolce & Gabbana. Stefano photographed everything he saw with his mobile.

The photographer of the campaign is Steven Klein, as usual. You'll see Izabel Goulart, Isabeli Fontana, Alessandra Ambrosio, and Maryna Linchuk.

Is this the image of elegance?

I'm not going to talk about the eating habits of the models, or if we have to blame the agencies, the brands or the designers for promoting a too skinny bodyshape. There are infinite discussions about it and it seems that things aren't going to change.

The images from the ad campaigns and the magazines are so photoshopped that we cannot distinguish reality from imagination. Well, most of us can tell when it's a real photo or if it has been edited. Airbrushing, erasing flaws... now it seems that it is an obvious thing they have to do.

When I saw this photo from the Dolce & Gabbana Spring/Summer 2010 fashion show I realised that things had gone too far. Maybe it is just a bad photo, but these models don't look healthy at all. Why do they want them to look like that? I don't get it.

-----------------------
