Life Backstage: Models and designers tell the truth. The Video

During Madrid Fashion Week my friend María (from The Garment District) and I made a video with models, designers and make-up artists interviews. We saw them everyday at backstage and we knew that they would be perfect for a friendly interview. It was very fun because we chose interesting questions and the models were very honest with their answers, you'll see. So if you want to know what's Daiane Conterato's favourite film, what does Marina Pérez have on her I-Pod, what's the most strange thing that has happened on the runway to Clara Alonso, what would Adrian Wlodarski (Prada model) take to a desert island with him and many more things, you know, just watch the video.

Durante Madrid Fashion Week mi amiga María (del Distrito Garment) y yo estuvimos haciendo entrevistas en vídeo a las modelos, los modelos, diseñadores, maquilladores... que nos cruzábamos cada dos por tres en el backstage. Era muy divertido porque las preguntas que elegimos hacer son muy curiosas y los entrevistados fueron muy sinceros en sus respuestas, como podréis ver. Así que si queréis saber cuál es la película favorita de Daiane Conterato, qué tiene Marina Pérez en su I-Pod, qué es lo más raro que le ha pasado en la pasarela a Clara Alonso, qué se llevaría a una isla Adrian Wlodarski (modelo de Prada) y muchísimas otras cosas, ya sabéis, ved el video.

Models smiling

I love when models smile just a little when they can't hide it. It is a sincere smile, often caused by the compliments screamed by the photographers (who, by the way, said almost everything), the absurd situations or the fear of falling.

Me encanta cuando las modelos sonríen sólo un poquito cuando no pueden evitarlo. Suele ser debido a los piropos de los fotógrafos (que por cierto, este año no tenían límite), las situaciones absurdas o el miedo a las caídas.

"I almost fell..."

I know these photos are out of focus, but her expression is priceless... she's smiling because she almost fell. The runway in the Duyos show had been made higher with some kind of platforms and it was quite unstable. Here you have a picture, if you look at it you'll see that the runway is higher than usually.

Sé que estas fotos están desenfocadas, pero su expresión no tiene precio... está "sonriendo" porque casi estuvo a punto de caerse. En el desfile de Duyos habían colocado una segunda pasarela encima de la otra, elevada un metro, con una especie de plataformas que eran bastante inestables. Os pongo una foto, si os fijáis veréis que la pasarela es más alta de lo normal.


Marina!

The photographers kept saying how beautiful she was whenever she approached the end of the runway. That's at Krizia Robustella's show. Marina Jamieson to the power!

Los fotógrafos no paraban de decirle lo guapa que es cada vez que llegaba al final de la pasarela para dar la vuelta. Aquí la veis en el desfile de Krizia Robustella. Marina Jamieson al poder!

Danny can't be serious

Male models (in this case, Danny Beauchamp) always exchange smiles on the runway... I love it! I'm sure they do it to provoke each other's smiling.

Los modelos (en este caso, Danny Beauchamp) siempre se intercambian sonrisas en la pasarela... me encanta! Estoy segura de que lo hacen aposta para ver si el otro no se puede aguantar. Ésto fue en el desfile de Ana Locking.

Playing with a little kid in backstage... look at Marina's face, haha He kept running after him around backstage between shows, they were having so much fun./// Jugando con un niño pequeño en el backstage... mirad la cara de Marina, jeje. Estuvieron persiguiéndose por el backstage entre desfiles, cómo se lo pasaron.


He said we had to shout his name when he appeared on the show, but as he was going to be covered in that yellow hair, he explained what he'd be wearing ("something like a divingsuit with big shoulders") to us so we could recognize him. We did so, and we shouted: "Danny!!" haha. He was sooo funny /// Nos dijo que gritáramos su nombre cuando apareciera en el desfile, y como iba a estar tapado con la peluca amarilla, nos explicó lo que iba a llevar ("una especie de traje de buzo con hombreras enormes") para que le reconociéramos. Cuando salió le reconocimos al instante y gritamos: "Danny!!" jajaj. Era divertidísimo.
